Academic Excellence

VVS is an IB World School committed to rigorous, student-centered learning. Our hands-on approach to the International Baccalaureate develops independent thinkers who are guided by skilled teachers and prepared to excel at universities around the world.
VVS has a 100% IB diploma pass rate three years running.

World Citizenship

Founded in 1948 with a deeply international vision, VVS has always believed that education doesn't stop at the border. Students graduate as ethical, globally aware individuals — skilled in community building, appreciative of cultural difference, and ready to participate fully in the world.

Environmental Stewardship

The verde in Verde Valley School is intentional. Students and faculty work together to reduce waste, grow food, and conduct real environmental research that informs how the school operates. The campus garden is organic, student-farmed, and a direct food source for the dining hall.

Service to Others

Hamilton Warren founded VVS to teach "the great responsibility for your fellow man." Today students log thousands of hours supporting communities from Arizona to Mexico to Malawi — not as a requirement, but as a way of life.

The Value of Physical Labor

Many parts of this campus were built by students. Through the Work Jobs program, students complete daily chores alongside faculty, and each summer alumni return to build, repair, and improve. Ownership of a place changes how you inhabit it.
Verde Valley School is an International Baccalaureate boarding and day high school for students in grades 9-12.
