From Meg Haesloop, Director of Academics and College Counseling
Greetings, VVS students and families. This week we began the final days of academic coursework for the 2019-2020 school year. While I wish we could have been together to celebrate the culmination of your studies, I must express how impressed I have been these last few weeks with the collective level of engagement, effort, perseverance and self-motivation you have demonstrated during our VVS Virtual Learning Program. I wish you all a good summer and look forward to seeing you again in person!
Below please find information about our Academic End-of-Year events:
Monday May 18th - Wednesday May 20th - Culminating Assessments
Beginning next Monday, we will run an alternate schedule to allow each class period one final 90-minute period for assessment and course reflections. Please see the schedule below for class times. International students with time zone conflicts are asked to reach out to teachers to arrange make-up assessments during the afternoon block.
Friday May 29th - Baccalaureate - 4:00 pm (PST) via Zoom
Students and families are invited to join the VVS Faculty and Staff to celebrate the academic accomplishments of our students this year. Awards will include Departmental Awards, the IB Learner Award, Academic Honors and High Honors, National Honor Society Inductees, and Overall Top Scholar. Zoom invite to follow via email just prior to the event.
As always, please reach out if you have any questions.
All the best,
