Raise your hand if you watched Dream Concert and absolutely loved it!

The magic on your screen was all thanks to Bill Carter - critically acclaimed author, award-winning filmmaker, and activist. Bill is the husband to Leigh Carter, our Anthropology teacher and Tribal Relations Coordinator (AND IB TEACHER OF THE YEAR IN ARIZONA! ), and also a professor at NAU and a consultant at MIT. Bill has dreamed of a revival of the Native American Scholarship Concerts for years now and was the spear-header for this year's epic concert.

With an extensive background in film and directing, Bill was able to connect all of the artists with VVS and create a virtual concert we only could have dreamed of a few months ago. Our staff and students are so honored to have such a talented individual in our VVS community.

If you haven’t checked out Bill’s documentary, short-films, or books - you are missing out big time! They all include the same level of passion that went into Dream Concert and offer personal explorations and a view into cultures around the world. Click on the link below to learn more about Bill and his role as a change-maker in our world! Thank you Bill for your commitment to Verde Valley School, the Native American Scholarship Fund, and our five guiding principles, we are forever grateful for your hard work and dedication!
