VVS ALUMNI REUNION 2021 UPDATE, SCHEDULE, AND COVID PROTOCOLS

Donita Coburn-Amadio, Director of Advancement and Special Events
Hey VVS Alumni, Alumni Staff, and Honorary Alumni,

We have some updates!

This year is not going to be as “campy” as we had originally thought. Things are coming together beautifully and VVS Alumni Reunion will look much more similar to recent past years.

This is very good news. When we 1st announced that things would be completely al la carte and BYOS we were taking a leap of faith. Now, with some planning and partnering, things are coming together beautifully. We look forward to welcoming you back to campus for an epic, celebrative event.

So many pieces have worked out in our favor and things are looking good for VVS Alumni Reunion 2021! WooHoo, YIPEEEEEE!

All meals will be included. We have some delicious food on the way!
Dry, unplugged camping is possible in designated areas.

Some bedding will be available. Please bring your bedding if you can and pillows too if possible.

All activities will be outdoors so plan your wardrobe, water bottle, and sunscreen options accordingly. June is typically HOT at VVS.

We have some great music and activities coming your way.
We encourage you to gather your gang and celebrate together as special classes and decades.

The anniversary years 50/51 & 60/61 will celebrate together at a special reception at The Head of School’s Home. These classes are ‘60, ‘61, ‘70, ‘71.

See the schedule and COVID protocols below:

COVID PROTOCOLS and EXPECTATIONS
All attendees must arrive with a Vaccination record or a negative COVID test with a maximum of 7 days prior to arrival. Dana Blavat will check each attendee’s COVID records. This is an important detail to keeping all guests safe and comfortable. Please do not ask for special treatment. We can not in good conscience allow different protocols for each guest. This is a hard prerequisite for guest attendance. Thank you for your cooperation and willingness to keep everyone as safe as humanly possible.

There are three different ways to attend reunion 2021. You can either stay on campus in the dorms (major nostalgia), stay in a local hotel/housing, or camp off the grid, in designated areas on campus. As reunion gets closer we will send out a map with these camping areas, please indicate in your registration what option you are choosing, that way we can make sure to have a space prepared for you!

We are looking forward to seeing you! Donita, Paul, and the VVS Advancement Team
