How to Apply

We are excited that you have decided to apply to Verde Valley School. Please follow the steps below. If you have any questions throughout the application process we are always happy to assist you.
 
Verde Valley School school admits students of any race, color, and national and ethnic origin, to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, nor in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.


A Few Things to Note

Below are a few things you should know before starting your application:

  • VVS has rolling admissions. This means that although we do have priority due dates, we will accept applications throughout the year.
  • VVS will accept two types of applications, the VVS application below (preferred) or the Standard Application Online (SAO).
  • Financial Aid decisions are separate from acceptance decisions and are subject to the priority due dates. Seldom is financial aid available after these dates. See the Tuition & Financial Aid page for more information.
  • You may visit campus anytime throughout the application process or even before you start the application. We are happy to show you our beautiful campus and introduce your to our community.

  • Step One - Inquiry Form

    By completing the inquiry form we are able to personalize your application process and visit. This also allows us to create your log in to start the application.
  • Step Two - Start Application

    Click here to log in and start your VVS application.
    If you are applying to multiple schools that accept the Standard Application Online (SAO) we are happy to accept this application. Click here to be taken to the SSAT site for further instructions.
  • Step Three - Schedule Interview and Campus Visit

    If you’re able to travel to Sedona, we invite you to spend some time with us on campus – it’s a great way to see what your life at VVS would be like and we can do the interview while you are here.
    However, we do understand that a visit isn't always an option and will gladly schedule a Skype interview.

  • Step Four - Ensure Application is Complete

    A completed application includes:

    • Student and family information
    • Completed essays
    • School transcripts
    • English teacher recommendation
    • Math teacher recommendation
    • Principal or counselor recommendation
    • Application fee ($50 for domestic applications/$75 for international applications)
    • Interview and Campus Visit (Skype if applicant can’t interview on campus)
    Additional Testing Requirement:

    • The SSAT is encouraged but not required. VVS School Code is 7930
    • International students entering with English as a second language are required to submit a TOEFL score. School Code is 8818 (There may be some exceptions, please contact us if you are unable to take this test)
  • Step Five - Decision

    We email decision letters on or before March 10  to all applicants who meet the February 15 priority application deadline.  Rolling admission applicants will receive decisions two weeks after the application is complete. Once you receive your acceptance letter you’ll have some thinking to do. The Admission Team and the VVS student you toured with are here to help you in making that decision. Priority admission replies are expected on or before April 10, and rolling admission applicant replies are expected two weeks after you’ve received your acceptance letter.
