Athletics and Sports at VVS

Athletics at VVS are competitive and non-competitive, mainstream and alternative.

Our facilities include an outdoor basketball court, soccer field, riding stables, rock-climbing wall, fitness center, and dance space. Tennis and golf facilities are nearby.

The weather is perfect for outdoor activities all year, so that is usually where you will find us. We have an outstanding equestrian program, where students learn both Western and English riding techniques.

We have a nationally-recognized rock-climbing program and are in close proximity to many world-class climbing destinations. Mountain biking, weight training, yoga, archery, and dance are also offered.

Taking advantage of our beautiful surroundings, many students choose hiking or cross-country running on mountain trails through the adjacent national forest and red rocks. There is a lot to choose from in our athletic program, so that everyone can find his or her favorite sport, or learn a brand new one.
