Verde Valley School's Headmaster
Paul Domingue was appointed VVS Headmaster in 2002, coming from Hebron Academy in Maine where he had served for eight years, first as Development Director, then as Assistant Headmaster for Advancement ,and Interim Headmaster. Prior to Hebron, Paul had served several other independent schools since 1975 in roles ranging from teacher to department chair, dorm parent, coach, activity moderator, public relations coordinator, and development director.
An arts educator by training, Paul received a BA in art from Providence College and an MFA in visual design from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. He maintains his connection to the arts and classroom by teaching a section of "Survey of Art History."
Paul is an avid bicyclist, having raced in US Cycling Federation amateur events since 1978. He continues to train and race today, even coaching a cycling team at VVS. He is also a guitar player and blues fan, and has been steadily working to achieve a lifetime goal of learning to play the entire repertoire of Mississippi John Hurt.
Paul and his wife, Dale, live on campus, but also maintain a residence in Tucson. Dale is a former child psychologist and successful business owner, and now serves as the school's CAS Coordinator.
