Campus Visits

What to Expect

Come visit Verde Valley School and let us show you our beautiful campus.  A campus visit is perhaps the best way to learn about VVS and its academic program, student services, and community life.  It is important that applicants and their parents visit the camus when school is in session to meet students and teachers and have a personal interview with an Admissions Officer.  A student tour guide or admission assistant will provide you with a walking tour of the campus. When available, you will meet the Academic Dean to discuss curriculum choices, as well as our Headmaster to learn more about the history and mission of Verde Valley School.

Visits are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and begin at 9:00 am in the Founder’s Room.  Please plan to spend approximately 3 hours on campus.

Getting to Campus

Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix is the nearest airport to campus.  Verde Valley School is approximately 90 minutes away by car.  Many car rental companies are available, or we have listed a few shuttle services often used by our students below.

Directions to Verde Valley School from Phoenix

• Take Interstate 17 north from Phoenix.  Take Exit #298 (Sedona/Oak Creek, Hwy 179).  Turn LEFT onto Hwy 179, heading west for approximately 7 miles. 
• The second traffic circle is the intersection of Hwy 179 and Verde Valley School Road/Jack’s Canyon. 
• Circle to your LEFT, heading west for approximately 3.4 miles. 
• Take the dirt road on the left that is the school driveway. 
• The VERDE VALLEY SCHOOL entrance sign is about 30 yards from the paved road. 
• If you get to Cathedral Rock Estates, you have gone too far. 
• Follow the driveway past the soccer field, the horse corrals and the barns, and follow the signs to the Admission Office. 
• There is marked visitor parking in front of the offices.
• Please pardon our construction as  you enter campus!

Directions to Verde Valley School from Flagstaff

• Take Interstate 17 south towards Phoenix.
