Is this the year that you take control of your tax dollars?

Each year Arizona residents have an important choice:

Pay your state taxes and let the bureaucrats decide how it should be spent? Or would you rather provide scholarships to help deserving Arizona kids get a great education?

Which sounds better to you?

As Arizona residents and taxpayers we have a special privilege.  We can dedicate a portion of our state taxes to help the kids in our community.

Since 1997, Arizona residents have provided over $300 million in scholarships to local kids attending private schools.  Through gifts to the New Valley Education Partners and other authorized School Tuition Organizations, taxpayers are taking control of their taxes, saying “This is how I want my taxes to be spent.”

How can I get involved?

You can help a deserving Arizona student to attend Sedona’s Verde Valley School.  Did you know that about one-quarter of the students at VVS, one of the premier international schools in the country, are Arizona residents?  And many of those kids receive scholarship support from tax-credit contributions to their own STO (School Tuition organization) called the New Valley Education Partnership.

How does it work?

As an Arizona taxpayer you can contribute up to $500 (single) or $1,000 (couple) to the NVEP and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit.  That’s right, your contribution costs you nothing!  Every dollar you contribute is a dollar less you have to pay in state taxes.  And every dollar contributed goes right to the kids.  Every dollar is used for scholarships at Verde Valley School.  No hidden fees.  Nothing deducted.  You can feel good knowing that your contribution is really helping.
