Giving to Verde Valley School

Your continued support is important to Verde Valley School. It helps us continue the mission of VVS and the legacy of its graduates. And there are many opportunities to give, whether you choose to support the school's general fund or choose to support a designated program.

Gifts can be made to VVS in a number of ways. However you choose to make a contribution, a gift ensures that the School is able to meet important goals and to be prepared to meet needs as they arise. A contribution to the Verde Valley School 2009-2010 Scholarship Fund can be made by check, credit card (MasterCard, Visa), money order or by clicking on the online link below.

The VVS Scholarship Fund

Since its founding in 1948, Verde Valley School has sought to create a community of teachers and learners that is, first and foremost, committed to multi-culturalism and social diversity.  In particular, the goal to successfully model an interdependent, international living environment by its students and faculty has been a crucial element of the VVS mission, supporting its hallmark field trip program and formal studies in anthropology.

Central to the school’s commitment is the belief that this education should be available to any qualified student, regardless of means.  Thus, VVS has maintained an exceedingly generous financial aid policy, providing scholarships to about one-half of its student body each year.  Need-blind admission is a long-term goal at many schools.  At VVS it has been a reality since 1948.

The VVS Scholarship Fund provides important support for the financial aid program.  Together with investment earnings and auxiliary income, the Scholarship Fund enabled VVS to provide more than $1.5 million in need-based financial aid in 2008-09.

You may donate on-line to the Scholarship Fund, or if you have questions, contact the Development Office at michellec@verdevalleyschool.org or simply give us a call at 928-284-2272.

You can give to the school's U.N. Millennium Development Goals project online as well.

Arizona residents may contribute to New Valley Education Partners (NVEP) and receive an Arizona State income tax credit. All NVEP donations become part of the financial aid package given to deserving Arizona students.
